Eng 10 Course Syllabus (Toman-revised Aug 10)

WEEK of May 21-25

This week, students will be assessed on a new set of vocabulary words.  They will continue working to build their reading and writing skills by reading Catching Fire and working in groups to discuss and respond to the story.  They will also continue developing reading and writing skills via currently published articles.

BLOCK 1:

Due Mon: Read Catching Fire through chapter 11.

Due Tues: Read Catching Fire through chapter 14.

*ALSO-Vocabulary Quiz #20 will be given in class today!

Due Thurs: Read Catching Fire through chapter 17.  ALSO: complete your reading circle worksheet to be turned in today.

Due  Fri: Written (or typed) response to article of the week (link on moodle).

ALSO-Read Catching Fire through chapter 19.

Due Wed (next week): Read Catching Fire through chapter 22.

BLOCK 2:

Due Mon: Read Catching Fire through chapter 11.

Due Weds: Read Catching Fire through chapter 14.
