In 7th grade students at GHCS study Pre-Algebra. Students learn how to solve equations,, graph functions, work with surface area and volume. Students are also introduced to geometry principles as well as probability and trigonometric ratios. It is a challenging curriculum that prepares students for Algebra I in 8th grade. The textbook we use is published by Prentice Hall and uses the following scope and sequence:
