6th Social Studies

In 6th grade social studies students explore Ancient History. The year begins by looking at the different segments of social studies (geography, history, civics/government, and economics). We then move into a study of landforms which includes a group project where students create their own country with different landforms. The project transitions into a study of culture, architecture, government, and much more throughout the school year. The publisher of the book part of the curriculum is Houghton Mifflin.
