Hello, I am Sandy Goedegebuure and I am one of the 3rd grade teachers here at Moline Christian School. I’d like to welcome you to my blog and help you to see that our school is a reflection of God’s grace and goodness.
I have taught at M.C.S. now for 8 years and prior to that I was an aide for students in Educational Support Services. I am a graduate of Calvin College and also taught in New York at Goshen Christian School for 5 years and at Muskegon Christian School for 2 years.
My husband John and I have 6 children, 5 daughters and one son, ranging in ages from 19-28. Most of them are all still at home so we have a busy, but fun-filled household.
From the time I was in junior high I knew I wanted to be a teacher and God has blessed me with many opportunities to use the gifts he has given to me. I enjoy the feeling of helping kids learn more about the world God has given us and how to use their talents to the best of their abilities. Christian education is such a treasure and even though many parents struggle financially, let me tell you personally, it is worth every penny.
I am also grateful for the wonderful Christian community felt here at M.C.S. From the principal and secretary, to the school board, Moms in Touch, School Circle, to the parents and grandparents who volunteer their time, it is truly a family of believers in Christian education and a sign of God’s goodness to us all.
