Academic Enrichment
On Monday – Thursday, students go to an “Academic Enrichment” group. This time gives students an extra dose of an academic area. Some students receive additional instruction on reading fluency, comprehension, and phonics. Others are challenged with literature studies, vocabulary instruction, or even a Science/Social Studies project.
Book Reviews
Students in Mrs. Jenkins’ academic enrichment group wrote their own book reviews. Be sure to read them on the book review page!
History of Food
Students brought in a favorite family recipe and researched the history of the main ingredients. They interviewed family members about the cultural significance and family traditions of the recipe.
