Those of you who spend any amount of time with me soon learn that I have a passion for technology!
Although I’ve been involved with teaching and supporting technology for over 25 years in a variety of corporate and educational settings, it seems that the more I learn, the more I realize how little I really know. Trying to keep up with new tools and programs is a bit like being on a roller-coaster ride that never ends! That being said, I consider myself blessed to be able to use my gifts and passion to help prepare our students for their mission in life. The 2011-12 school year will be my 10th year at MCS.
What will I be doing this year at MCS? In addition to troubleshooting any network or hardware issues that may arise, I’ll be teaming with classroom teachers to develop quality projects that support the core curriculum and teach our students important 21st century technology skills. On the teaching end, I’ll be spending lots of time in the computer lab each week with students and classroom teachers — encouraging, challenging, and helping them to become more proficient and confident users of technology. It’s a wonderful mix that allows me to use my gifts and also learn something new every day! Outside of school, I enjoy hanging out with my family, antiquing, and opportunities to improve my golf game.
