Week 5-Journal Wrecking Continued

I drew with glue! Then, added some color and really like the way it looks.
It is wonderful to know that you are all out there, connecting through a similar experience. Thank you for taking the time to stretch yourself a bit, to explore, and to take a risk. I have heard from many of you, and have truly enjoyed learning about your journal wrecking experience. Please add a comment here! or a new post, if you wish.
I am looking forward to connecting next week via conference call! I will email you all soon with the date/time. The call will be recorded and I will place it on this blog, so that you can listen in to the conversation at a later date.
This blog will remain open. Wondering if your journal wrecking will end here, or continue on into the next months. Wondering how these moments will connect with you as you continue to journey along through your days.

I have enjoyed every minute of it though, especially what I did with my granddaughter. It really was a fun, cathartic, and a thoughtful process! Thank you! Sorry I can’t make the phone call. I will be on my way to see my daughter in Colorado! Dana
Journal wrecking is enjoyable, soothing, distracting and completely different. Maybe that’s enough for me
Cathy
My favorite part of this process was just getting to experiment and play without needing a final project at the end. There are many pages that turned out great, and many that didn’t, but that’s the point. I still haven’t licked a page yet though… more is yet to come I think.
My husband was watching me yesterday as I wrecked my journal. He made a comment that he was removing all sharp objects from my reach. He was also a little concerned about the sanitation issue.
Although it took me most of the month to get over myself and even allow myself to do anything, I think it is an important lesson for me.
I had thought to share a few of the pages at a family reunion — get my type A family involved, but after realizing how hard it was for me, I decided they would need a little more scaffolding. I’m giving teams a bag of materials to create a sculpture and we’ll have a vote on which is most creative.
Thanks, Susan, for your patience!
Dana-so wonderful to share with others! Glad you had an enjoyable bonding time!
Cathy-soothing…would love to hear more about that! as that word has not been used as often:)
Jenny-looking forward to learning where you will go from here. Yes, open-ended can certainly be freeing!
Rita-hope you are able to locate all of the sharp objects you need! Bravo on stretching yourself! whoo hooo!
